New Camera means New Post --Soon!

Ok, so we had to break down and buy a new camera. Somehow the LCD screen on ours got shattered from the inside...not sure how that works. anyhoo, that should be coming in the next week or so, then I'll be able to get some more cards up! Stay tuned!

Circle Circus Everywhere!

Ok, here is my first card post since being back in action. I made this for my brother-in-law's wedding. I used the new set Circle Circus--I love this set!

  • Shimmery White paper
  • Together Forever, Circle Circus sets
  • Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Elegant Eggplant inkpads
  • Whisper White Organza ribbon
I made more cards today as well, but my camera is not cooperating at the moment. As soon as I am able to get pictures, I will post them too!!

Um...sorry...new material coming soon!

Ok, so, first, I am apologizing for being MIA for nearly 4 months. To be honest, I had zero inspiration and motivation. I'm sure we've all gone through it. Also, I was distracted with this:

This is Rob. Rob Pattinson. Say hi to him. He is incredibly distracting and I just can't help myself. It is bizarre, I know. I'm a grown woman, why am I obsessed with this 23 year old British actor? I don't know. But I'm having fun ;)

Anyway, now with the new catalog, I've actually had some inspiration strike. I will be having Stamp Camps start up again, beginning this month, so I will have new material and more frequent posting soon, I promise! Oh yeah, and I finally bought a Big Shot!!! Squeee!!! It will be here this week!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Ok, first off, SO SORRY for lack of updates...just got so busy with home and work, I even had to cancel my March camp!!!

Here is a card I designed for my friend Tricia for her to send for St. Pat's Day. She has a real-life Irish boyfriend---with the accent and everything, its so cute!-- so I think she is contractually obligated to send cards for this holiday, haha.

  • Mellow Moss CS
  • Certainly Celery CS
  • Certainly Celery Narrow grosgrain ribbon
  • Certainly Celery inkpad (for wheel---instead of ink cartridge), Mellow Moss inkpad, Versamark pad
  • Always Artichoke marker (for "dance a jig" on wheel--after inking whole wheel with CC ink, I then wrote over those words with the darker marker, then wheeled onto the paper)
  • Clear EP for clover (stamped in Versamark first, then Mellow Moss ink, then paper)
  • Pinch Proof set and Lucky Me wheel
  • heat gun
Now, I promise I will soon post my projects from February camp, hopefully this week!

January Stamp Camp

Ok, I finally have time to post what we made at my January camp...

This first one is pretty simple. I brayered the Riding Hood Red on Glossy cardstock. The hearts were stamped on Very Vanilla with Close to Cocoa, then punched out with the new heart trio punch, and then mounted with dimensionals. The pink circle is actually the base card showing through, because I used my 1 3/4" circle punch to put a hole in the glossy paper.

  • Pink Pirouette CS (5 1/2"x8 1/2")
  • Glossy White CS (4"x5 1/4")
  • Very Vanilla CS scrap
  • Love You Much set
  • 1 3/4" circle punch
  • Heart Trio punch
  • Riding Hood Red and Close to Cocoa inks
  • Rubber brayer

This one was designed by my good friend Robin. She used the bleach technique to stamp the balloon images, but since I didn't have bleach in the house, we just used Lovely Lilac ink on ours.

  • Crazy for Cupcakes set
  • Lovely Lilac, Taken with Teal, Tempting Turquoise, Naturals White CS
  • Chunky Sprinkles white glitter
  • Tombow Multi glue
  • Teal, Turquoise, Ruby Red, Passion Pink, Lilac inks and markers

Ok, this is my design as well. Lately I've been going for "simpler is better" cards. Mainly because my stamping time is cut in quarters having 2 kids. Gotta make the best of it! Again, I used the 1 3/4" circle punch on the Pacific Point paper to make the "opening" for the image.
  • Pocket Silhouettes set
  • Pacific Point and Whisper White CS
  • Kiwi Kiss ink
  • 1 3/4" circle punch
  • Stamp-a-ma-jig

This card is my design again. I forgot that Small Sayings was retired...dang. That was totally my go-to set for sentiments. Ah well, that just means I need to buy a new one!!
  • Pocket Silhouettes, Small Sayings sets
  • Tangerine Tango, Bashful Blue CS
  • Old olive ink
  • Copper brads , 1/16" punch

This one again is my design...I was feeling crafty!! Fairly straight-forward like the others.
  • Fresh Cuts set
  • Baja Breeze, Basic Gray, Whisper White CS
  • Baja Breeze, Basic Gray inks

And the creme de la creme, my nugget tin. I had these things laying around since last year, and just never used them. I decided Valentine's Day warranted the use of them, so I made one up. I didn't put chocolates into my sample, but my campers got it filled with a dozen Hershey's Nuggets, and they wrapped each one in a strip of DSP to match the tin (Kimmi's very helpful son Zach did those for the ladies!).
  • Loves Me DSP (to go inside the tin)
  • Alpine ribbon (retired--goes all the way around the tin using sticky strip, but you can open it without undoing the ribbon)
  • Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla CS
  • Ruby Red marker
  • Close to Cocoa ink
  • Circle Scallop punch
  • 1 3/8" circle punch
  • dimensionals
  • sticky strip
